We are delighted to welcome the acclaimed Irish poet Terry McDonagh to an inspiring double feature at pro linguis – a reading session and a creative writing workshop on the following day. The reading will take place on Friday, November 6th, at 7pm. The creative writing workshop (short prose/poetry/discussion) will follow on Saturday, November 7th, from 10am to 1pm.

Terry McDonagh, a poet of international acclaim, taught creative writing at Hamburg University and was Drama Director at the International School of Hamburg. He facilitates in Europe, Asia and Australia. He has published 15 collections and is translated into German, Indonesian, Arabic and Chinese. He returned to live in Ireland in 2019.

His extensive work may be best characterized by a quote from the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda (Nobel prize for literature 1971), that heads Terry‘s website:  „Poetry is like bread. It should be shared by all. By scholars and the man on the street corner, by all our vast, incredible, extraordinary family of humanity.“
